WHY LLUUMA

We met in Vietnam - one from Amsterdam and the other from Cologne, who didn’t know each other until that trip. Somewhere between street food and long bus rides, we became friends. One of us carried a basic cross-body bag - nothing special, but surprisingly practical. We didn't know it yet, but that bag planted a seed.

Years later, after one also started living in Amsterdam and the other graduated from AMFI, we decided to design the bag we always wanted: stylish, functional, and affordable. After 18 months of sketching, sampling and tweaking, we finally had it. Our friends and family loved it. That’s when LLUUMA was born.

HOW WE DO IT

Everything starts in Amsterdam - our home and our inspiration. We take our time with every detail. It took us 1.5 years to get the first bag right, and we’re proud of that.

No big logos. No loud designs. Just clean lines, solid materials, and quiet confidence. We test everything ourselves, obsess over the small stuff, and there was always one thing non-negotiable: premium quality without the premium price.

Right now, we make one bag. One shape. Four colors. That’s it.

It’s minimal, versatile, and built for real life. Something you can wear to work, on a weekend trip, or just out for a walk. Just something that feels right. It’s the kind of bag you don’t have to think about.


This isn’t just a brand. It’s two friends trying to build something real, something that fits our lives and hopefully yours too.
